Pre-Apprenticeship Programs
Pre Apprenticeship Header

The Pre-Apprenticeship programs for 2019 are now full. We will be submitting proposals to the provincial government for funding to run more programs in the spring of 2020. Visit the St. Clair website next January for confirmation of funding and to confirm which trades will be offered!!

THREE PROGRAMS TO CHOOSE FROM

2019 MTCU funded Pre-Apprenticeship Training Programs include:

  • Brick & Stone Mason starts April 22nd
  • CNC Precision Metal Cutting (General Machinist, Tool & Die, Mould Maker) starts April 29th
  • Truck & Coach Technician (Agricultural Equipment Technician, Powered Lift Truck Technician, Heavy Duty Equipment Technician) starts May 6th

These full time Pre-Apprenticeship programs include 17 weeks of in-school Basic Level 1 Apprenticeship Training (1st level of trade school in an expanded format), safety training & other pre-trades training. A 12 week (420 hour) industry work placement follows. The Ministry covers the cost of tuition, textbooks and safety equipment. Participants are responsible for their own cost of living expenses and transportation.
